Britannica Pathways: Pathways Science is a new instructional program that aims to dispel common misunderstandings students have about science. Designed for Years 6-10, it is a Web-based program for the classroom. Pathways was created in response to a growing body of research and teacher experience. They concluded that confusions and misunderstandings continue to plague students, even after they have been taught a scientific topic in the classroom. These misunderstandings persist because they make sense to students based on their personal experiences.
Pathways Science actively engages students in the learning process. The program eliminates more than 100 common misconceptions in the earth and life sciences, physics, and scientific reasoning and inquiry.
